How many Summer School subjects can I enrol in?
Students may enrol for a maximum of two subjects in the Summer School.
How do I apply?
All students are required to enrol online through the Registration Centre. In person enrolments will not be accepted.
Supporting documentation, where required, must be provided to the Summer School office within three (3) days of online application.
You can drop your envelope with your supporting documents into the Summer School Office.
When do applications open?
Summer School applications open in early October and are staggered according to the level and faculty of the unit of study, Winter School applications open in late May. See Important Dates for more information.
When is the last day I can enrol?
Summer School 2010:
Summer December session: Friday, 27 November 2009.
Summer Main session: Friday, 11 December 2009.
Summer Late session: Friday, 8 January 2010.
Winter School 2009: Friday, 11 June 2010.
Please note that you should enrol as early as possible in order to secure a place in the class as many classes fill very quickly.
Can students from outside the University of Sydney apply?
Yes, we welcome any tertiary student enrolled at any Australian university or overseas university. Note you must meet the prerequisites for the unit of study for which you are enrolling.
You may also apply if you are not enrolled at a university but are eligible for admission to the relevant degree program for your unit of study.
How do I know if I have a place in the Summer School?
When you first apply through the Registration Centre, your registration will be marked as "In Progress" (yellow coloured).
Once your application has been assessed, your fees have been confirmed, your academic record has been checked and all outstanding documentation has been provided, then we will change your status to "Enrolled" (green coloured). This means that your enrolment is confirmed.

What does the Census Date mean?
Students can withdraw from their subjects without academic penalty and receive a full fees refund until the census date. However, late withdrawal penalties apply between the on-time withdrawal deadline and the census date.
